Toyota Apprentice Technician

After completing UCOL’s NZ Certificate in Automotive Engineering programme, Holly Antrobus started working as an Apprentice Technician at Manawatū & TRC Toyota in Feilding. Holly says she is thankful to be able to wake up every morning and work on cars. 

“At the moment I’m doing lots of car services and having so much fun with the people I’m working with. It’s great work and it’s obviously very different to UCOL because I am working on customers’ cars.”

Holly was amazed at the resources UCOL’s auto workshop had available. During her time as an apprentice, Holly learnt a whole lot of new skills and was able to apply her knowledge once she joined the industry fully.

In the future, Holly wants to repay Toyota for giving her an apprenticeship by progressing her career through the company. She’d also like to use her skills overseas one day.
