SBA - Small Business Accounting

Small Business Accounting is a franchise with over ninety branches in New Zealand, Australia, and USA. In 2020, they took on Brittany Burnett as a UCOL Bachelor of Applied Management internship student. The SBA franchise in Palmerston North specialise in taxation compliance and have over three hundred clients.

During Brittany’s time at SBA she took part in a range of projects, including producing GST returns, analysing profit and loss reports, and providing individual reports for clients. 

Through her workplace experience Brittany has made a lot of progress towards completing her Xero Advisor Certification. She can now produce CSV files to meet Xero’s importing requirements, and she’s also enhanced her Microsoft Excel skills.

“I received guidance, training, support, and companionship throughout my placement,” says Brittany. “The opportunity to have been a part of this environment has been greatly appreciated.”
