Harps Food Commercial

Harps Food is an American supermarket chain that was potentially coming to New Zealand. They needed a 30-second television spot for an upcoming promotion. The project was a very open brief, as the client themselves had very limited knowledge of New Zealand culture.

In preparation of the project, we had meetings with the clients to ask what their wants and needs were,” says Lawrence Chock, Bachelor of Creative Media. “We did this before we started filming, and we worked on how we could deliver it in a way Kiwis would relate.”

“After a few revisions of the video, we came to this final product in front of you. We learnt a few lessons along the way, especially in regards to lighting and storytelling, but most of all was how to create a 30-second story that shows all we needed to show. An interesting fact that not many will know is that 95% of the interior scene was filmed at night.”
