Evolocity - Manawatu

EVolocity and UCOL have partnered to introduce the EVolocity ‘Design, build and race and electric vehicle’ schools’ programme. The launch was held on 6 March 2019 at UCOL and will provide a practical way for secondary school students to experience working in engineering, sustainability and electric transport.

EVolocity gives an e-vehicle kit to secondary schools and, along with UCOL’s faculty of Engineering and Applied Technologies, works with the students to build their own e-vehicles. The electric vehicles are either a bike or a three-wheeler, powered by a standard 350W electric motor.
