Big Brothers Big Sisters of Manawatu
The Manawatu branch of Big Brothers Big Sisters approached UCOL in 2018 to take new photographs to help them attract mentors.
Mentors spend quality one-on-one time with their assigned ‘little brother’ or ‘sister’ in evenings, on the weekend or during arranged school visits. The aim is to build a long relationship based on spending quality time doing fun (free, if possible) activities.
The organisation has an ongoing need to recruit mentors who can spend one hour a week mentoring a young person. They do this through speaking at group events and via promotional materials such as brochures, posters and pull-up banners.
Brief
Produce a collection of images that portray mentors as approachable, friendly, professional, safe and fun. They wish to appeal to organisations who are prepared to let their staff have an hour away from work each week, and individuals who wish to give back to the community.
